unusual moves during print G code doing it?

I have been using Simplify3D for about a year and I am starting to experience some unusual moves. I do not know where to start troubleshooting , but thought I would ask here. I have not actually witnessed the problem moves but see the result.
The printer goes home on one or both axis occasionally and returns and starts printing where it left off. I see the witness on the table of the nozzle weeping across the table in the same place in different layers.
I did not get a chance to look at the G code yet. Is there a chance that it is timing out and going home to zero out?
The printer is from an extinct company called Ideator12, pretty standard. I do not think I had the problem before the recent upgraded version.
I did have to re-select the machine when I updated versions. I may have a random G code telling one axis to zero or.... Any idea what G code it would be?
Any ideas on where to look would be good.
Thanks, Ken
