cam port problem

I cannot get the software to connect with the printer. The COM port is fine in the Device Manager but will not connect.

I think more information would definitely help troubleshoot this. (what printer, what O.S is your computer)?

It's Probably "3) (If MakerBot/Sailfish style machine) Open MakerBot Desktop, go to Services and select Stop Background Services. Background Services will connect to the printer even if MakerBot Desktop isn't open, so if you try to connect with Simplify3D, Simplify3D will get an error since the printer's already connected to another piece of software!"

Printer is Leapfrog Creatr single
OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on another partition but have not tried to install anything there

Baud rate is set at 11520

The port select on Simplify shows \\,\COM4 I can change the COM number but nothing else

Arduino is installed

I have had the printer working before but this time I am nowhere

I tried Repetier but get the same results.

You may need to uninstall your current drivers and install the ones from LeapFrogs websites. I think there are occasions where FTDI compatibility is less than optimal/universal.
