Support generated outside of skirt?

Hi,

as title, I noticed that sometime support are generated over/outside of skirt? is this normal?

The skirt doesn't have an automatic offset, you can set the offset in the Additions tab so it's farther away from your part. If you look closely at the beginning layers you can see that the support and skirt material don't overlap though, so it shouldn't negatively effect your print by having them overlap. If you prefer your skirt to be outside the support, then I would recommend increasing the offset in the Additions tab.

This is pretty common. Its never been a problem for me though.

Seems as though the skirt and brim only apply to areas of the project touching the bed. My guess is its calculated based on the outline of the initial layer and does not take into consideration the overall size of the project.

Would be curious if you used a raft instead... would the supports touch the build platform? I'll have to check this one out when I come across it again...
