Ultimaker 2 how?

So far I have had no success with any attempt I have made to print using this software.
While I like a lot of the features in the software they seem to be useless.

I print and after around the 5th layer it just stops extruding plastic but continues to print.
I've never had this issue with CURA.
I've attempted to use a 0.4 and my usual 0.25 nozzle which I have had no issues with via CURA. With this though it just don't seem to want to know.
An with this latest text it has ramped my bed to 100C and my Nozzle up to 230C though they are set to 60C and 205C as this seems to work best with colorfabb.
Has anyone got any idea what I need to change with in the software to make it run well better, or is the software not up to the latest version of merlin? Which in turn could be causing this issue?

Any and all help would be appreciated as I don't really want to throw away money.

Re: Ultimaker 2 how?

I would recommend using this newer Ultimaker 2 profile as it has a G-Code command in the starting script which increases the amperage to the motor.

The prints I've gotten using this profile have been really good. To use it, click Edit Process Settings, then use the Import button and select the FFF file attached here.

Hmm, is this file the one already included in S3D v3.02? Since my printer loves to just stop and start eating my filament (grinding it to bits) when using S3D GCode files, yet the same printer setup works flawlessly with a Cura GCode file.

The stock S3D profile has been working great for one of my buddies. But if you're having trouble with stripped filament, you may want to check your retraction speed and retraction distance. Some filaments will require different values since the plastic is softer. I've also fixed this problem in the past by increasing the extruder temp which allows the plastic to flow easier.
