Leveling the bed but still have to off set the Z height

hiya every one,

I have spent ages at a time leveling the print bed. but everytime I have to offset the Z height aroun 0.08 to 0.15mm.

I have used many diferent techniques, paper, mircometer, by light and eye, and so on.

but everytime I print it seems that the nozzle is right on the bed and the filament shredding in the drive gear starts.

any tips as I would like to be able to level the be and boom get going.

having a level bed and the correct gap are 2 different things. once you have the bed level then set the gap on your printer. mine is just an adjustment bolt that hits the end stop. the gap that is required will vary. on my m2 i use a .006" feeler gauge. that sets it about right. yours may require something a little large or smaller. start with .006" then adjust from there. when doing this be sure your first layer height and width settings are at 100% and you have no gcode offsets. they are all at zero.
