Bug testing

I've had a lot of crashes with 3.0 doing normal stuff. It would be nice if the simplify3d team actually did their own bug testing. I pay for a product, I'm not getting paid to bug test your software. FOSS has an excuse to offload the testing to its users, commercial software does not.

Yup, now I get a crash every time I try and slice a project. And then waiting a while, it magically goes away. Maybe however they "fixed" the memory leak causes this.

I have yet to have had any problem. I've done a lot of testing. Perhaps the problem lies elsewhere?

I didn't have any problems with v3 for the first few days, but now it's crashing on me a lot. No error messages or anything, it just quits. I haven't looked in the system logs yet. This is on a Mac.

The only kind of info I can give is it seemed to be when I was quickly changing settings and quickly trying to slice the model. Almost like I was clicking too fast for the program.

I haven't had any issues at all with v3.0, and I use it a LOT. If you encounter a crash, you should send the crash report to the simplify3d support team so they can investigate.

PS - I have also emailed with the S3D guys and know for a fact that there was months of testing for v3.0 with many users before it went live. Several users on this forum already mentioned they were involved in the early testing.

I don't have time to be filing the error reports with Simplify3d... hence my rant.

It certainly appears to be model dependent. I haven't encountered a crash in a while now.

There is a difference between QA testing and giving a program to a bunch of random people.
