Is there any way to control travel paths?

I'm slicing some pawns and I want to use ditto printing for it. As much as possible I don't want the second nozzle to wipe on the first, so I'm hoping I can manipulate the travel paths so they go slightly diagonal to manuver them between the pieces as they move from one row to the other. But no matter what I try the travel paths are apparently random and scattered. Is there a way to gave a little more predictability to the travel paths?

Simplify3D doesn't control ditto printing. Your printers firmware would control it.

Therefore you would just print one row/column of pawns, and the other row/column would be printed by the other extruder since your firmware would be pushing out plastic for both.

This is understood.

The problem is I want to insure the travel paths don't bring the second nozzle, 30mm to the left, across the printed areas if I can. Of course I know S3D doesn't know anything about this, but if the travel paths were predicable I could account for it. However, as you see in the screen shot the travel paths are all over.

Agreed. I see the same here, but not using ditto printing. A 6 by 5 row of light covers so you would expect S3D to do a row or column, step to the next one and do it back the other way like a bunch of S shapes along the bed. Alas no, it's all over the place and slows printing down a LOT from the wasted additional travelling between items.

It does not even do the same order each row, sometimes skipping 2 rots and 2 columns over to continue, then needing to come back across half the deck to finish that layer.

Not sure if optimize start points will help in this situation. I think that is applied to each model individually, not the whole print. It usually prints in the order that the models are in the list. You need to shuffle the models around in the order you want them to print.
