How to calibrate x and y axis?

Hi everyone. I'm new to 3d printing and would like to know how I could fix the accuracy of my prints.

Whenever I print a square block, there's a difference of .3mm between x and y axis. I was hoping that there's a fix for this.

Any advice is truly appreciated. Thanks

btw, I love s3d

Well, first you need to make sure that you aren't over-extruding. But once you're confident you are extruding exactly as much as you should be, then try reading this: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2042

Is there a way to check for proper extrusion? I have mine set to .85.

Calibrating extrusion: **You will need Calipers**

1. Import a 20 mm cube
2. Turn on "Single outline corkscrew printing mode" on the Layer tab.
3) Set Top Solid Layers to zero on the Layer tab.
4) Print Object (you can stop the print after a few layers of the outer perimeter are done.
5) Measure the thickness of the wall.

Take the Wall Measurement thickness and compare it to your Extrusion Width set in Simplify3D under the Extruder tab. If you need more filament to equal your Extrusion Width, increase your Extrusion Multiplier, if you need less filament, decrease the Extrusion Multiplier.

**repeat process as needed.
