Preview of part move/rotate in v3.0

Hi,

In versions previous to 3.0 i was able to preview the rotation and translation of parts before printing.
Also the rotations were in steps of 30 deg.

With version 3.0 the preview is gone and the steps are of 1 deg. Are these settings configurable somewhere I cannot find?

Thanks,
gabriel

The "preview" happens in real-time. Every time you change a number, the part moves in the 3D view.

If you ever need to undo something, just use ctrl-z

hi,

thanks for the reply. yes, right the part moves; i did not notice it moving because i am printing very small parts and the rotation is 1 degree per click. i really liked the 30 deg per click. at least if that value would be configurable.

another annoyance is that when importing a second part, it drops on top of an existing one and then i have to 'Center and Arrange'. in all prev releases the re-arrangement used to be automatic.

thanks,

That goes both ways though - sometimes after manually placing a part I would then add another and S3D would rearrange all pieces again. That always drove me crazy. I prefer the current method.

I too, prefer the current method. Previously adding a model to a precisely arranged build plate would wreck everything. And with no UNDO there were several moments of sadness. Hooray for 3.0! :D
