Raft's Not working as well in v3?

I been using my friends laptop which was loaded with v2.2 and I liked the Raft support on v2.2 they were very easy to remove when printing with my Wanhao Duplicator 4. I was using the default settings at the time, neither he or I had tweaked them.

I recently purchased S3D myself when v3 was released but the rafts are just not printing right.. I am still tweaking my raft settings trying to add more of a gap to see if it helps but as it is right now the raft layers come apart from each other easily but they are nearly sticking to my parts like glue at times. I didn't see this issue in v2.2

Note I haven't had any "failed" prints just prints sticking to the rafts.

Any one else seen this?

Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 4 - First Gen not X4 series.

Just increase the gap between the raft and the model.

Printing a project with rafts as I type... with V2, I had to increase the "Offset from part" to .25 to .3. But I don't print with rafts often enough to spot a trend... possibly things like layer height and print temps could affect the adhesion of the bottom to the raft.

I´ve got a Wanhao 4S, and no problems with printing on rafts.
Think you should lower your extruder temp to max 210. And if print with black PLA or darker collour even more.

Not sure what "Black PLA" or darker colored would have to do with it? Granted about 2/3 of my PLA is Translucent or partially translucent (I have like 10+ rolls of PLA)

I have been playing with the Separation Distance and currently at 0.30 on my last print.. Looks to work a bit better but I feel its not quite there yet, so im going to keep playing with it..
I have also found that printing smaller objects was part of my problem this time around.
Printed a box shape that was about 2"x3" and it came off the raft with minimal issues. But printing an object around 3/4" x 3/4" and its completely "glued" to the raft.. While I don't "need" to print most my prints of rafts I have found them to have more desirable surfaces vs the Ultra Smooth polished surface look I get from printing directly on glass..

I print with Rafts recently for cosmetic reasons.
Heated Bed + Glass + Aqua Net = Never had a sticking problem with PLA

Thanks for the insights everyone Ill keep working at it.

Re: Raft's Not working as well in v3?

I print mostly kind of big things. Around 200-400g of filament / print at 0,2mm. Nozzle is 0,4. I have not changed the default settings for separation distance (0,14mm). If the object sticks tuff to the raft its never the solid infill, only outline. This has to do with a lower speed 50% for outlines and 80% for solid infill. I also thought it was a bit strange that the colour of PLA could affect the temp, but it does.

Your ABS prints have been going well? I have always printed PLA on my Duplicator with minimal issues. Within the last few weeks I started ABS in v2.2 it worked ok I printed some minion's with minimal issues.
But now my ABS prints are all messed up see pic.

Think im going back to only PLA printing.. Running ABS has been warping my print bed and im getting lots of messed up prints :/

Sinus, have you done any modifications to your Duplicator?
Hope you got the wood one.. I got black acrylic, think its only going to last another year ish.
The top panel where the Z attaches is starting to warp up.

Thanks for the info, generally before I have just printed around 220/230 regardless of color and had little issues.
Will look into that more..
Unfortunately when I get my "glued" rafts.. its not just the outline, but a majority of the solid infill also sticks to the raft firmly. Even shaving it off with an X-ACTO is fruitful.. :?
