Retraction During Wipe Movement Issue

Hey Everyone,
When I am printing a small part and have a 4mm wipe length set up. I am getting strange "grinding" sounds from my extruder motor when it is retracting during the wipe movement. I have figured out that this is caused by the fact that there is not enough room for a straight 4mm wipe in 1 line of GCode. So the GCode will be performing the retraction across multiple extruder xy movements making my extruder motor stutter.

Has anyone else seen this and have a solution for it?

i have been using that feature for tons of prints over the past month and never an issue. it sounds like your retraction speed is too fast causing you to skip steps. try slowing that down.
