Infill produces waves?

Hi,

please have a look at the picture:

I'm printing on a Rostock Max with an build height of 800mm, 0.8 nozzle, 0,5 layer height, 1 perimeter and 20% infill. Modell height = 500mm
If I'm printing without infill there is no wavy surface.

Any suggestions to avoid that?

Wow thats a big printer, 160cm height?

Have you tried smalle nozzle, different printspeed etc?
Does the waves appear on all layers, from the start?
What happens if you try 2 or more perimeters?

I could try to print a bit of it if you would like.
I am actually recently finished with my own delta build, not as high as yours, only about 50-60cm build height.
Working out the kinks with my new smoothieboard, but it prints atleast.

1 perimeter only will create a really thin wall. I wonder if what's happening is that as the plastic cools, it's contracting and deforming around the infill inside the part. As it does this, you start to see those bumps (I'm assuming they line up with the infill segments inside the part?)

the printer is about 1,20m high.

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. It is way much better but unfortunately it weighs so much more, so it's no alternative.
