3D inset surface

Hi, I'm looking for the inset surface function, which is super useful when printing mechanical parts, like the one in Kisslicer.

I do realize there is a similar function under the other tap, "Horizontal size compensation value", mentioned in this post.

However that value only inset the print in xy planes.
(if you have a circle print with "Horizontal size compensation value", it will comes out ellipse which the height is greater than width. )

I'm looking for one that inset all three planes.

Wouldn't that just be uniform scaling?

No, I don't think JasonW is looking for uniform scaling.

Imagine you have a cube with a hole going through it.

If you scale it down uniformly, the cube gets smaller and the hole diameter gets smaller.

If you "inset" all of the surfaces, then the cube would get smaller and the hole diameter would get larger.

I heard somewhere that you can do this in Blender.

Yeah, you are correct, I'm not looking for uniform scaling.

The Blender solution works wonders. Thanks!

Although it will be great if it's implement into the software eventually.
