Simplify3D User Forum

Hey guys, I'm not having any luck with the settings for my Da Vinci 1.0A with Repetier firmware. Can someone give me some guidance to get started? I was able to get it connected to the printer, but it keeps crashing into the bed. I've calibrated the bed to -1.5mm. Can someone send me their .fff file? Thanks!

I'm using the stock da vinvi 1.0 settings that came with S3D and it doesn't have any problems crashing into the bed. Are you sure you have yours leveled correctly?

You might want to try going to Help > Configuration Assistant, and re-downloading the da vinci profile.

With Repetier firmware, there's a few changes to make in Simplify3D.

Tools-->Firmware Communication-->Communication and then in the Flow Control setting, set to Hardware Flow Control. This lets you connect to the printer.

Turn on "Wait for Temperature to stabilize before beginning build" for the heated bed and extruder(s) in the Temperature tab of the process settings. This tells the printer to wait for it to reach temperature before proceeding any further.

Then lastly, in the Ending Script for the first line, add "G28 X0 ; " (without quotes), to get the printer to home in the X-axis when done.
