Random Bridge Layer

See attachments.

I have a random bridge layer in the print preview.

There is no such feature in the solidworks model or the layout view.

I have tried messing around with some settings (infill %, support on/off)....just to see if it was a random "stars aligning thing", but it is still there.

Any ideas?

Re: Random Bridge Layer

Run your shape file through the cloud NetfaBB repair service ( https://netfabb.azurewebsites.net/ ) and I think it'll then work. There's some sort of error in the mesh that is confusing the S3D slicer.

Re: Random Bridge Layer

You have your first layer height set to 100%, Change this to any thing else, i.e. 99% and it will fix the problem..............Don't ask why I have no idea!

Re: Random Bridge Layer

Adding 0.001 to the layer thickness would probably cure the problem as well!

The theory is......and to me its a very plausable sounding theory......is that there's an error in the mesh that a layer near the top of the model is coinciding with exactly...which makes things go screwy. Do anything to make that layer miss that particular exact height.....thicken the first layer or alter the thickness of all layers.....and the fault will be missed.

Of course, correcting the error....whatever it might be....would be the correct solution, but changing something to avoid the fault works as well!
