Hi, a new problem has come up, and most likely from some setting I have made in error more like from inexperience.
The print is stopping at each section of the print, what have I entered incorrectly, and How do I fix it.
each time it stops it leaves a globule of filament. Thanks

If you're running Windows 10 then this thread will explain the issue:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3348

If so, you'll have to write to an SD card and transfer the card to your printer.......until a solution appears, that is!

If you're not using Windows 10, then I think the best thing is to upload the .factory file for whatever you're trying to print. The info you've given is so brief, it's difficult to say what your problem is.

To save a .factory file use Save factory file as... on the File menu. Save the file and then attach it to a post.

Doug thanks for the reply.
I have not had any problems with Win10 up to now, so I don't think that is the cause.
At the start it was printing normally, then I saw that the print was lifting on one corner, and was getting a lot of stringy bits, so had another look at the setting, whether I made a change intentionally who knows.
Not sure how to explain this, the model has quite a bit of support in between parts, so what is happening is, at each section it prints then stops goes to the next position which is supports prints it stops then moves to the next section and so on, hope that explains it better.

The symptoms of the Windows 10 USB issue are the print runs okay for a period of time (15 mins for me) and then suddenly stops, then starts around 5-10 seconds later, prints for a while, then stops, and starts....and so on. To me, this matches what you are describing in the last paragraph of your post. So, I think you do have the issue.

The print lifting and stringy bits is a set-up issue....and posting a factory file to allow the gurus on here (I don't consider myself to be in that category, btw) to suggest changes is the way to go.

Thanks Doug, that is strange as I have printed a full real of filament without this effect.
Not sure how to attach the factory file.

Ok, I have been making a few tests.
I made a test file, two objects side by side and saved the gcode with my present settings, and yes it stopped the print between processes.
I tried this file on both the usb and the SD card both printed the same.
I then tried one of my files I printed before, and it worked perfectly no stopping, so my conclusion here is, it has nothing to do with Win10 but in my settings, so I will reset things back and start all over, and see what happens.

right found the problem, it was with the retraction settings, this bit what I had set.
1) retraction distance 2.00 mm
2) extra start 0.00 mm
3) retraction verticle lift 0.00 mm
4)retraction speed 25.oo
coasting 0.8 mm.

These settings were given in an earlier post, perhaps I miss read them.
Any ideas anyone please

When it stops, is the extruder actually retracting? It may look like it's sitting there for a split second while the filament runs in reverse.

Also, what unit system are you working in for speed values (go to Tools > Options to verify). Because if you are setting speeds in mm/min, then 25 mm/min will take FOREVER to retract 2mm of filament. That would easily create a long pause.

Thanks for the reply.
lets say I have to of the same models side by side, when the printer finishes it,s sequence it stops before moving to the next, I assume as you say it is retracting, but it is leaving a fair size globule of filament, the 25 mm/min which is what it is, could be the cause, I will try it again and raise that figure.
I think it was set originally at 1800.

Good lord 25mm/min no wonder you have an issue lol. Put that up to 3000.
