Suggestions for Machine Control Panel

Prior to purchasing S3D I used the free Pronterface software to debug and query my printer. S3D's Machine Control Panel provides basically the same capability, but it much less convenient to use. Here are some suggestions that would make it a lot better:
1. Fix the bug that loses macro names input by the user.
2. Add a button to stop scrolling the Communication window; this would enable easy copy/past functions for data shown in the window
3. Add the 2 - 3 more rows of user defined macros
4. Move the function for defining/editing macros from the Firmware Configuration dialog to the Machine Control Panel.

To answer your question about the firmware macros, you should read this link:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2833&p=13286#p11941
You either need to disable the firmware override (which essentially tells the software to overwrite your macros), or setup your own firmware profile that includes the macros and then you can leave the firmware override enabled.

OK, I understand the point about firmware override. But where is the checkbox to disable it? I can't find it anywhere!

"Edit Process Settings", G-Code tab, disable the "update firmware configuration" option.

AHA! Got it - thanks Joe. I knew I must have been looking in the wrong place.
PS: The actual wording of the option is ""Update machine definition"..

No, the machine definition is for things like build volume and machine type (cartesian, delta, etc). The firmware configuration is what controls the options that you see when you go to Tools > Firmware Configuration (which includes the macros)

GAK! Silly me! I unchecked the wrong box. Thanks (again) for setting me straight. I promise I have it correct now.
