From Makerware to S3D

Hi guys,
As a newbie into 3d printing, I got myself a FFCP and have been learning to print with Makerware. It was a huge learning curve to tweak the custom profiles but I kind of made it after a month of 10 hrs+ printing time everyday.
Recently I start moving on to printing bigger and more complicated objects. Makerware is okay but the support is so stuck to the print and I spent hours still could not remove all little pieces.
Read a lot of review and finally bought S3D last night for its better support formation. I know it takes time for me to use it as handy as Makerware, and I tried to change all setting as close as how I got good result with Makerware, still, there is quite apparent difference and Im clueless if I set the whole thing wrong.
For example, the ghosty on the left is from Makerware and it has a more unified surface and good layer adhesion. The mid and right ones are from S3D. The mid one has the setting set closer to Makerware but you can still see the outlines are not so well bound. I also cannot explain about the colour since they are all print with 205 deg 0.2 height (PLA), Printing speed 90mm/s, outline 30mm/s.
