I am printing with PLA and a large format 3DP1000 printer. I starting to get some pretty good prints after experimenting with settings. My only weak area is the outside layer of the part that makes contact with the support. I am printing my support at 10% infill with 1 solid layer at 80% infill. I have tried the separation layer at .1 and .12 and still get a rough outer surface on the part. I know that the surface making contact with the support will be rougher than the top layer, but I've seen much better results with my same setup. I know it's somewhere in my setting combinations, but I'm starting to get frustrated! What's the trick (setting combination) to getting a decent outer layer that is in contact with support? Am I asking too much by wanting support that comes off easy as well as quality resolution?
