Simplify3D User Forum

Hi, we are new to 3d printing & need a little help.
Got the software last night & everything is working awesome except 1 issue
When my extruder moves from part to part the bed is not dropping causing the extruder to run across the print or hit the part its moving to causing it to lift up off the bed. Any help would be appreciated.

Normally all parts are printed at the same layer plane, which means that the nozzle does not need to raise up when moving between parts. However, if you want to force it to do so, you can. Go to the Extruder tab and set a retraction vertical lift distance of 2mm. That value sets how much the head will lift when moving between parts.
