Having some troubles getting my FlashForge Creator Pro to connect to my computer via USB.
I am currently using Simplify3D and I have my Prusa i3 connected via USB on COM3 and am trying to figure out what I need to do in order to get SImplify3D to see the FFCP.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

Well you can only be connected to one printer at a time. So make sure it isn't connecting to the i3. You may also need to install the drivers for the FFCP if you haven't done that already.

I had a similar problem where I could not connect either of my FlashForge printers via USB. Through lots of help from the S3D support staff, I discovered I needed to install the printer drivers which were contained in ReplicatorG (which also requires Python to be installed). I had a lot of trouble installing ReplicatorG though because Windows does not allow 'Unsigned Driver Installation" but they walked me through it. If this is the same problem your having, I can send you the directions I used to get it going.

I am using Windows 8.1 so if you are running something different, the directions may be a bit different.
I downloaded ReplicatorG and Python from this link (In the software tab):
http://www.ff3dp.com/index.php/download ... rpro?tab=0
I installed Python first without a problem. Then I tried installing ReplicatorG but it would not install the drivers. I would get an error similar to this:
Basically you have to put windows into a special mode to allow the driver install. Directions for that can be found here:
http://revryl.com/2013/08/06/install-unsigned-drivers/
Follow the directions. Once you are in the special mode, install ReplicatorG like you normally would and it should work just fine. Then immediately restart your computer to refresh all your security setting back to normal.
Once it is installed, you never have to use it. Just plug your printer into your computer and open S3D. Then open the Printer Control Panel and click Connect.
Hope this helps!

Do you know if I can open two instances of S3D and have one control my Prusa i3 and another control the FFCP all through USB?

I think you can but I have not tried. Honestly, I hardly ever connect my printer directly to my computer.

Yup, I do this all the time. Just open 2 instances of the program.
