Online login required each time, no setting stored

Each time I start up Simplify3D, it has me log in online just as if it was a brand new install. S3D also does not remember my login (box checked) and will not write any settings. All adjustments to the profile I make are not saved, even if I save profiles with a new name and all. After each two logins I max out the number of devices and need to reset on the web site.

When I go to the web site and try to reset my devices I get a message: "Your account is not able to reset linked devices at this time. Please contact our support staff at [email protected] for assistance." So I am locked out from using Simplify 3D. That's great if it happens with payware.

This is on Linux Mint 17.2 . I have seen this with the previous version of S3D and it seemed fixed with the update, but it's back now, and very annoying, since I cannot use it on my laptop when on the go, without permanent WiFi access.

Sounds like a permissions issue. If the program isn't running with appropriate permissions, it won't be able to save anything when it shuts down.

Try running the program using the command below
cd /opt/Simplify3D-3.0.2/ (or where ever you have the software installed)
sudo ./LaunchScript.sh

I don't like having my login automatic so I simply close the login panel when I boot s3D. It's annoying to be prompted or always logged in. No reason to login except for updating (IMO). I've not had any problems saving or running s3D when not logged in. Everything works - all files saved and all parts print...
