How to skip printing of first 1mm ?

Hallo,

I'm new with Simply3D and have an STL which is not quite good in first layers.
I want to skip printing the first 1mm. I used Edit Process settings - Advanced - Start printing at hight = 1 mm.
However, the print preview shows that printing starts 1mm in the air which is not what I want.
Is there any other option to skip the first layers? any ideas?

Enclose two screenshoots of object and print preview.

Many thanks

Don't use the "start printing at height" option. There is an easier way to do this.

Just drop the part 1mm below the build platform. Double click on it and decrease the Z-axis offset by 1mm. The software won't print anything that is below the build platform. It's a nice trick for exactly this purpose :D
