Supports brim

Hi,

A feature i'd like to see implemented is a brim under the supports.
It helps a lot to have a thin 1 layer plate under the supports so that they just can't detach from bed while printing.

To do it i just create a thin plate and add it to the bed. Basically it just has the shape of the shadow of the model with a light perfectly on top (sorry if i don't explain this correctly :/ ). But it's a bit boring and it would be very nice to have an automatic option :)

Re: Supports brim

This has been requested a number of times here, it's badly needed.

Re: Supports brim

I strongly request this as well.

I'm printing parts on an angle, so there are parts that stick way out past the initial brim. In situations where supports are needed I have to make massive brims around the entire print in order to anchor one or two supports on one side.

Solo supports are often nudged loose, especially when they are single towers that have to go up fairly high. It would be great to have a checkbox in the Brim section that would allow supports to be considered when brims or rafts are calculated.

Some kind of tapered towers would also be great, so they started heavy at the bottom but slim down just before hitting the part.

Even branching supports, like those in Meshmixer would be useful.

Re: Supports brim

This would be helpful.

In the meantime, I manually place anchors on the bed where the supports can print on... It can be meticulous, but you can scale the discs or squares in the XY keeping the Z at .5mm.

Thank you! That's a great idea.
