Simplify3D from OSX requires a reboot between each print

Has anybody experience this?

When I print directly from OSX to my TAZ 5, Simplify will be able to print out a single print. However, if I try to do another print, it won't start again. When it works, it goes through the steps:
Heating bed
Preparing extruder
Printing...

However, when it fails it jumps directly from:
Heating bed
Printing...

and then it will just get stuck there and not actually starting to print or even home. It will warm up the extruder (even though it didn't say that it does) after the bed is warm, but then just wait there.

No matter what I do - even close/restart Simplify3D, it won't print. Once I reboot, I can get it to print once more, and then it gets stuck again.

The manual machine controls inside Simplify3D works all the time (even after failure), and if I hit try a print I can see the commands being sent between the Mac and printer up to the point of heating the bed & extruder, but Simplify3D doesn't send anything after that.

Next time this happens, go to the Machine Control Panel, and copy all of the text out of the Communication tab. It should be pretty easy to know why your printer is no longer proceeding with the print by seeing that communication.

Re: Simplify3D from OSX requires a reboot between each print

I have experienced exactly the same issues with the latest version of Simplify3D and my mac.

My mac is running the latest OSX El Capitan and my two printers are both custom deltas runnning Smoothiware, the controllers are different hardware but same firmware levels.

The best way i have found has been to restart my printer and simplify3d, this seems to resolve the issue until next time.

As far as the communications panel goes it only shows m105 and the temp. readings.

I also have been unable to send any gcode commands from the communications panel and the macros i set and saved are lost when Simplify 3d is restarted.

Apart from this annoyance it has been like night and day compared to the free slicers i have been using, i was sceptical at first but my prints have never been better.

For your question about the macros, this will explain it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYPUAqT4UyI
