It would be nice to have different parts of a model printed with different infill percentages. Fore example, I have a print that has an outer rim and an inner hub. It would be nice to have the outer rim printed in say a 60% infill while the inner hub is printed in 30%. I would imagine it being similar to the support tool where you can 'add' or 'subtract' infill with a brush of some sort.

I've had to do this a few times in the past. I just export the outer rim and the inner hub as separate STL files, then you can setup a customized process for each one. Might be an option if you're looking for a way to do this..

Depending on how the model was CAD'd and what program was used, you may be able to go to Mesh--Separate Connected Surfaces and that will break up any independent objects in your 3D model. I've had good success with this feature for separating models, that way I can do a dual-extrusion print, printing different parts with different colors.

The first part where I would use this option is a single object.
