Simplify3D User Forum

Hi all, I am considering purchasing Simplify3D but I want o make sure it will work with my setup first. Does anyone use it with Repetier Server? I have a MendelMax 3 attached to a PC that runs Repetier Server - this way I can send print jobs from multiple PCs - even remotely - and also monitor jobs using a browser or app.
I would be very interested to hear if anyone has this setup or can confirm whether Simplify3D will print to Repetier Server.

Yup. You just export the gcode file from S3D and then upload it to the server.

OK - but Simplify3D can't upload the g-code directly to the server? ie: you have to save it locally first and then use the server's web-interface to upload the g-code for the job?

Repetier Host connects directly to the Repetier Server and it acts like a locally connected printer - so you can print, control and monitor the printer within the application rather than using the Server browser interface. Does Simplify3D do this?

No, you just export the file and then upload it like you would with any other slicer.
