Using the 'auto-configure extruders' option with a manually defined printer.

Hello to all,

I'm using Simplify3D now for a while and as most I'm very happy with the software. Much better then everything else I've been using. Especially the supports ;)
I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how I activate the 'auto-configure extruders' which is available when I select a preset multi extrusion printer (ie. Leapfrog creatr HS).
I have a diy Prusa i3 with two extruders and had to manually create the printer with the 'configuration assistant' using the 'other' option. In there I selected two extruders and every other setting like bed size and such...
Now when I open the Process Settings and select the Prusa i3 Dual Extruder profile I don't get the dropdown field (auto-configure extruders) like I do when I have the Leapfrog creatr HS selected.

Hope someone can give some advice.

With kind regards,

Tom

You have to add the <autoConfigureExtruder> options into the profile. Go to File > Export FFF Profile, and compare your Prusa i3 profile to one like the Creatr HS. You will see the added sections in the bottom of the Leapfrog profile.
