Thin text not being generated

Hello All,
I have a Makergear M2 and it prints flawlessly, so no problems with the actual printing.
The problem is there is a part I made that seems to generate gcode different from what I printed perfectly even a year ago in the older version 2.2.2.

The best way to show the problem is this:
in Simplify3d ver. 2.2.2, the gcode preview is correct and prints the file perfect. attached is a screen capture of the preview, the gcode sliced preview and the printed part.

preview in 2.2.2

v222 gcode view

In Simplify3d ver. 3.02, the exact same .stl will not correctly render the text at the top of the part, regardless of any settings for resolution etc. (pics in following post).

The strangest part of this all, is that if I preview/print the old versions gcode in version 3.02, it will work and previews correctly too. The problem with this is that I cannot control the fill styles, etc. that are in the new version.

I have tried to export the stl in the old version, import into the new one, but it still has the same problem. Everything else in the file is great.

I can upload the codes from each version if anyone thinks it will help, but I am not sure if anyone has come across anything like this before.

Re: Thin text not being generated

That text looks like it's barely even as wide as your extrusion width. That's going to make it hard to print. There's ways to do it, but of course, the easiest would be to enlarge the text some.

If you can't do that, then try setting a manual extrusion width on the Extruders tab and decrease the value a bit. For example, if it was 0.4mm before, try 0.35mm. The online guide that S3D provides actually explains this really well: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... ng-printed
