Changing the direction in which supports are printed

I find that I can specify different angles for support structures to print under the SUPPORTS tab. So I set two angles, 0 degrees and 90 degrees.

But can I specify the angle for certain support sections of the print and not others? (Not by layer but by X,Y coordinates)

How would I tell the software specifically what angle to print supports under different sections of my object?

Would this have to be a direct G-Code edit?

Hiya,

I have not seen any function that allows you to do that.

It's a one for all type of thing with the support.

I then to add 180 deg of set of any angles I put in. basically 0, 90, 180, 270 basically to make it do a layer in the opposite direction. closes off some gaps the appear and the dense layer ends up unsupported other wise.

Re: Changing the direction in which supports are printed

Finally got a reply to this one! :D

Thanks.

Ya know, I ended up use 45 and -45 but only for 4 layers. That way I didn't add to much support material but was able to get all the support I needed for a very specific point in the build.

Reason was I had a tough pattern on top of a build and it needed very good support not to droop.
Having the 45 deg and -45 degree covered it nicely.

I'm finding hat I'm using multiple processes more and more to tailor my builds

Cheers!
