Preview Mode - Option to show filament when coasting

In the Preview screen, if you have coasting set, the preview does not show the filament where the Coast at End feature is in effect. The effect is for the preview to appear as if there are lots of bits missing.

I would like to see an option to show the filament as actually being extruded during the "coast". This will enable the preview to more accurately represent what is extruded...rather than what is being instructed to be extruded.

Here's what I mean. Preview as we currently see it:

Note the missing bits...they can mask errors in the model.

Here's how I would like the Preview show with the new "Don't show coasting" flag set:

All of the model is there....and any errors would be easier to spot.

I know we can simply uncheck the Coast at End setting to see the second view.....but it would so easy to forget to set it again before printing. With an option, we have the choice to show or not show the coasting.

If you show the travel movements, then you will the coasting sections. They are shown as movements because the extruder isn't actively extruding. In fact, that's pretty much the only way I verify that coasting is working, is by checking to see that the moves at the very end are now travel moves instead of active extrusions.

Yes, I figured out you can spot the coasting if you look really closely at the travel movements. Though if coasting distance is small they are really hard to spot so I increase the coasting distance to an artificially high number to figure out if there's really something going on.

Agree that it would be nice to have a special colour accorded to coasting in the preview pane. Or perhaps a special appearance? If for example preceding movement track is blue then make it speckled blue. There's a logic there. A bit like a dotted line.

ps all of this is moot when the limitations of 3d navigation mean that we can't examine parts all around the build area as we would wish to!
