Random solid layer

hiya guys and gals.

I have a part that when I got to preview and analyse it I find a random unwanted solid layer.

I cant explain it and I have tried different things but I can't get rid of it.

You can see the bridging layer in side the cavity of the part.

I have attached the factory file.

please help.

many thanks

Becky

Re: Random solid layer

Hi Becky

Change your layer thickness to 0.1001 mm....and the problem will be solved!

This is a quirk of the slicer. If it encounters an issue in the mesh at exactly a layer boundary, things go screwy. Changing the layer thickness so the issue is missed cures it!
