Supports messing up model on ABS?

Hello everyone,

I am a beginner to 3D printing and I cannot seem to fix an issue that has been ruining many of my prints.
So what is happening is that my models that need supports are getting ruined when it moves from a support to the actual model with an upwards incline (pictures attached). It's almost as if the edge is curling up and melting/burning on the extruder. I have not tried this using PLA yet. I'm not sure if i just got a bad batch of ABS that came with the printer or what's wrong with it. The printer is a FlashForge Creator Pro.

Yup, I've seen something similar many times. It's always a cooling issue. If the plastic is too hot, it will curl. This is particularly bad on corners and overhangs.

Try lowering the temp or adding a better cooling fan for that section. There's more info on your exact issue here: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... gh-corners

I have increased the fan speed throughout the print but I'm not having much luck with that. I will be dropping the temperature from 230 to 225 Celsius for my next test and see if that has better results. Fan speeds tested were 15% and 45% ( see picture below).
