Hi all

can some one help me decide what's going on i hope you can see from the pictures that the bottom layer is not playing well i think its over extruding and have compensated by doing the wrong thing which is using less outline overlap and and by putting the raft separation distance up

let me know what you think please

First of all, I would stop using a raft. Just print directly on the bed and use a brim if you really need help with adhesion. That makes it MUCH easier to get a great first layer.

Second, the reason your first layer looks like that is because it is being printed too far away from the surface. That means the plastic isn't squished enough, so it doesn't bond properly. Printing directly on the bed will help that, and you can also adjust the Z-position using the Z-axis global gcode offset (on the G-Code tab) if you need to move it closer to the bed.
