Can dual extruders split the job of a single ?

Can Simplyfy3D create pathing so that dual extruders operate simultaneously in order to complete a print job faster than a single extruder? I would load both extruders with the same type of filament. I imagine the pathing would move in bands that are as wide as the distance between extruder nozzle tips. For example, I use a Flashforge Creatore Pro with nozzle tips that are 35 mm apart.

It's not a specific feature of simplify 3d, but most dual extruder printers have a "ditto" option in the firmware, this will make it print two identical objects at the same time--they just can't be wider then the distance between the extruders.
To make this work with simplify you have to setup your printer as if it's a single extruder. I use a flashforge creator pro, and set it up as a replicator 1 when doing ditto printing.

Just stumbled across this thread.
I am interested in how to print two identical parts with both extruders at the same time. Could you elaborate a little further as to how to set this up using S3D?
