Jamming

I am new to Simplify3d and have been experiencing some jamming in the hotend when I lower the layer height to .1. This is a standard setting in XYZWare for my Da Vinci 2.0 so I shouldn't have a problem. What can I do to fix this?

Well there's a lot of things that can cause nozzle jamming... Did it happen in the first few layers or was it later on in the print (i.e. after 20 or so layers)?

It happened on the first fee layers. It normally is good for 2 or 3 layers then it jams.I was going to start playing with retraction, would you think that would help?

Anytime I get a jam in the first few layers, it is almost ALWAYS due to the nozzle positioning. If the nozzle starts too close to the bed, it doesn't allow enough space to freely extrude, and the extruders ends up jamming

I have recalibrate the bed and it doesn't jam with the XYZWare at the same layer height. Any suggestions?

You can increase your nozzle height with a quick setting adjustment in Simplify3D. Inside the G-Code tab they have given us the ability to adjust the entire print's coordinates without adjusting the machine's conceived boundaries. This area of settings is titled Global G-Code Offsets.
To raise the nozzle all you would need to do is enter a positive amount in the Z axis entry field. Setting's location is pictured below.

I would recommend you try adjusting the nozzle height via the global Z axis adjustment....and if this doesn't help then post your factory file so we can take a look at what your current settings are...and advise what changes to try.
File dropdown menu....Save Factory file as.....
As has been stated already, there are several things that can cause jamming. I've had to make setting changes when migrating to 0.1 mm and 0.05 mm layer thicknesses to prevent jamming....
