mbot grid 2+ set up questions

Hello everyone,

I got a mbot grid 2+ dual head printer...I just purchased S3D get a more friendly gui. I am having trouble printing from S3D. I currently use ReplicatorG software to create gcode and print...takes forever.

My problem with S3D is when i go to print, it moved my print bed up and jams it into the nozzles before the print starts, like in the first 10-20 seconds of sending a file to print. I have generated and printed the same model with replicator and had no issue like this.

Anyone have any thoughts on what is causing the print bed to keep rising up? I tried different offsets for the z-axis even tried inverting the axis in the settings on the software.

I really would like to use the S3D software, much faster processing and build files are about half the size of those made with ReplicatorG.

Thanks,
Shawn

How is that even possible? Doesn't that printer have a min Z-axis endstop that would prevent the bed from ever contacting the extruders??

So your issue is just with the first layer extrusion? Then you should check out the links below. You need to adjust the nozzle positioning and priming.
