Hello!
I have started using Simplify 3D with the Z18 at work. With my replicator 2 S3D goes into the corner and primes and wipes the extruder. Is it possible to do the same thing with the Z18? Right now it is dragging material in from the waste bin and messing up the first few layers.
Thanks

You can make it do whatever you want. Just edit the starting script.

I've been looking into editing the script and struggling to understand the gcode.
From what I understand I will need to do the following:
G28 X Y : Home the nozzle G28 X Y
G01 E10 : Extrude X amount of filament
Would the rest all be G01 Commands?
? : Then raise build plate to nozzle level
? : Move nozzle towards part
? : Lower z level to first layer

Yes, and G1 usually don't have the extra 0 in there. You may also need to use a G92 E0 to set the E-parameter to zero before you try to use it. Otherwise, you don't really know where you are in the E-axis.
You can find more about gcode here:
http://reprap.org/wiki/G-code
And yes, everything else would just be simple G1 commands

If you take a look at the start script for your R2, you'll see that every line is commented. Follow through the code and compare with what the R2 does so you can see what the code does.....and you'll be able to copy the appropriate lines to your Z18's start script.
You'll need to only take the lines you need....and edit them, but it'll give you a start.
