From Partitioned box to Solid Block...

When I made the box in TinkerCAD, it came out great. When I "prepare for print" in Simply3D, it turns it into a solid block. The best I have gotten it to do is make it a hollow box with no inner dividers, etc...

Can you post a factory file? That would make it much easier to help

Perhaps you have the "Merge all outlines into a single solid model" checked (on the Advanced tab)?

My prediction is that there's something in the mesh that S3D can't fully resolves, and its ended up putting a single filled layer across the top of the box.

Adding to (or subtracting from) the layer thickness a small value, e.g. 0.001 mm, may move the corruption in the mesh away from what is used to resolve the layer...and it'll slice correctly. The proper solution would be to run the shape file through the online repair service: https://netfabb.azurewebsites.net/

Your answer was right on the money. I unchecked the box, hit update profile and OK, and PRESTO! It looked like my box again.

Thank you all for your guidance, and especially you Mroek for the winner.
