Da Vinci Dou 2.0A

Here are some Files for printing PLA and ABS on my Da Vinci Dou 2.0A
I am using Buldtak and its the reason why i have an Offset of 0,42 in PLA files and 0,52 in ABS.
If you are using Kaptontape please remove the Offset and reduce the bed temparature for PLA down to 40°C
For ABS you can keep 100°C or going down to 80°C
There is also Faberdashery PLA an file. (I have an resetter  )
You should print always multiple parts with Faberdashery Filament, because the printer has no cooling fan and you will have somtimes (in less cases) some trouble with fine details. From stringing i Was suprised because Orange was working the best when i tested the "Rainbow colour" set, ecept white, which i haven't tested so far.

Re: Da Vinci Dou 2.0A

Hello Techniktoni,

wehre can i set this Offset in s3d Programm?
I am using Buldtak and its the reason why i have an Offset of 0,42 in PLA files and 0,52 in ABS.

You wrote that you are using BuildTak in your Davinci 2.0A.
Have you reset the Nozzle hight or is this the Offset?

I am usin a Davinci Printer 2.0A with S3D and Capton tape and iam a beginner in case of 3D Print.
I have orderd a BuildTak now.

Is the BuildTak better tahen Capton tape with ABS-Juce ?
Resurfacing the BuildTak ?

Thanks an best regards

Re: Da Vinci Dou 2.0A

hello andiz,

you can find the offset in the Register "G-Code"
Yes it is the reason. before i applyed the buildtak, i leveld the bed to the value 100
The callibration is still working without damaging the buldtak.
Only thig i would recommend is, to test the distance from big range to smal one in 0.05mm steps.
if you are to close PLA and ABS will stick like hell.
If you are printing ABS on Buildtak, don't use ABS-Juce!
It will damage the Buildtak.
Bevore i bought Buldtak, i did it like you. But when you print a part with a lengt of 180mm and 30% infill, it will peel-off of the Kapton.
With Buldtak i can do the same without any peel-off-effect up to 60% infill.

Re: Da Vinci Dou 2.0A

Hello Techniktoni,

many thanks for yor info now i found the offset in general G-Code Offsets.
I also have leveld the bed to the value about 100.
The bed Temp can reduce for PLA 40°C and ABS 80°C.
Have you tested al lower Temp for ABS or PLA.
Like abs 60°C for ABS and PLA no heating.

Can you remove the thing without to destroy it ?

Re: Da Vinci Dou 2.0A

No I havn't tested lower Temperature at ABS but i've testet PLA with lower temperature. It works also without tmeperatre fine.
But i want to be on the save side so i put the bead to 60 or 50°C.
Btw. for smaler parts is Scotch Bluetape ( 2090?) also working.
At the moment i am Testing PLA from Filamentworld.de,
and it's a bit more tricky:
I put in both cassettes an PLA-chips from Da vinic and set the bed to 50°C for first layer and 0°C/switch it off at layer 4.
If the Printer waits to long for reaching the correct temparature, the filament stick into the nozzle, :|
also the surface is not that nice as it is with Faberdashery PLA :(

Re: Da Vinci Dou 2.0A

I was wondering about temperature manipulation. I have the Da Vinci 2.0A and am using the stock firmware with S3D. The first couple weeks the prints were coming out pretty good and I was able to shoot one after the other off, but now I am having some issues. The prints are coming off the bed and from what I understand is that you cannon manipulate the temperature setting because those are set by the filament cartridge. It is a frustrating thing to have happen and I hope that there is a logical solution because after looking all over flashing the 2.0 doesnt seem to be concrete yet.

Thanks
