Model interpretation is wrong

Hi,
I am trying to print a model of a 'coin' with a relief structure on top. I constructed it with C4D. It looks fine after being imported but when I prepare to print the model turns flat. The relief almost disappearing totally. Who can tell me what I am doing wrong. Apparently there is something wrong with the mesh, but o don't know how to fix it.

Thanks in advance,

Adriaan

Re: Model interpretation is wrong

It looks as if the whole of the relief area on the top of the "coin" has all its faces facing downwards. If you look closely at the preview with the feature type driving the colours, you can see the outlines are in the wrong place on drawn layers.

You're going to have to get the mesh for this coin sorted out....otherwise you'll never be able to print it correctly.

I was afraid of that. I made the mesh with the relief object in C4d. I tried to reverse the normals, but It doesn't make any difference. Any ideas how to repair this messy mesh?
