Basics for printing Nylon on MakerGear M2
Posted: Fri Jan 29, 2016 9:05 am
Hello,
I am a new user of a MakerGear M2 used in conjunction with Simplify3D software.
I've run a few prints with PLA and I I'm familiar enough with the functionality to feel comfortable printing with PLA.
Next week, I would like to run some nylon prints. I have a spool of Taulman 618 Nylon as well as Gizmo Dorks Nylon T36B.
Please review the following questions which I have before attempting a Nylon print:
1) What would be a good nozzle and bed temperature to start with?
2) Are there any other settings that should be changed in the FFF settings menu (speed , etc.)?
3) Would paper glued to the bed be better for Nylon than Kapton/Glue stick? If not, what would you recommend?
4)I have a some esun cleaning filament. I will be switching between PLA, Nylon, and ABS. Pease provide guidance on nozzle maintenance to keep it clean when switching between Materials ?
Thank you,
Rogaltom
