Fails to extrude/prime filament during skirt & print start.

Greetings everyone, 1st day S3D user and love it it so far (former Cura & MatterControl user) the only issue I am having is when I print the skirt it is very slow to actually extrude any filament. Sometimes it goes around both times (skirt print) without extruding any plastic. I have had to increase the skirt to 3 lines, and depending on the size of the object it doesn't print any plastic for the first 10% of the first object layer.

I flipped back to MatterControl to test skirt extrusion and it prints fine, only takes a second or two to prime and start laying filament. Seems that the issue is specific to S3D. The Nozzle height seems to be fine as when it starts to print, it does a great job I am sure this is a setting somewhere to prime the extrusion but cant seem to find a blog topic for it. If one exists my apologies I couldn't find it.

Printer: ROBO3D R1+
Filament: Hatchbox PLA
Extruder Temp: 210c
Bed Temp:60c
Skill Level: Novice

Thanks in advance!

Re: Fails to extrude/prime filament during skirt & print sta

Immediately before starting a print, I always go to the Machine Control screen, select Jog Controls, and manually extrude 20 mm of filament, pull that off, and immediately go back to the main screen and start the print going.

I also have S3D print a skirt around the part, since even after extruding manually the first little bit of filament doesn't come out reliably.

I run all of my prints from the PC via the USB link, so that works for me. If you're doing it some other way, this may not help much.

Thanks Mike I will give it a try. :) I was unaware that the jog control would allow me to do a manual extrusion. That should work.
