Would like to see controls for INSERTING new Processes and/or changing Process order

I agree. This would be great for quick changes. Now you have to edit each process or start over by deleting them.

Right?

I'm in shock that we seem to be the only two customers using multiple processes. Anyone who uses them would see that this is desperately needed.

Yes, this would be damned handy.

Another issue is that the Top/Bottom layers setting on a process applies to the start at and end at heights. So if, for example, you want to print an object with different infill or perimeter settings at different heights, you will get solid layers at the top or bottom of each process. You could of course turn this off, but then the setting applies to any overhangs or other areas where you want that setting in place.

It's made it a lot more difficult and cumbersome to use.

You can do this with a work around. I had to do this today. INSERT a process between two other process.

simplify will HONOR layer height start and stop.

so long as you keep your layer height start top in order you can have the actual processes in any order you wish.

SO I numbered the processes 1 3 4 5 6 7

and at the botton process 2

then I found one more spot where I needed a process (i add process to force it to add solid layers since the software is not smart enough to not drop filament in the middle of an infill hole)

so I made a 1.5 process at the bottom.

SO as long as all your start height and stop heights jive you can have the processes in any order you want and it will "slice" then in the order intended via start stop height.

Process order editing would be an incredible upgrade. I like to do sequential printing, and if I make any changes to the placement of the parts on the build plate I have to complete redo the processes from scratch.

A set of up and down arrows next to the process window to re-order processes like layers in GIMP or Inkscape would be a huge improvement.

you should not have to. simply make sure each process has the proper model selected and it should "sort it" on its own.

Here's a fudge that will allow processes to be sorted in the display list....

Delete a process and then un-delete it by using Ctrl-Z (or whatever the equivalent is on Mac) and it will move it to the bottom of the list.

Using this delete/undelete in the right way will allow you to sort the processes. It may be unorthodox....but it works! It may, however not retain any changes since the last save of the profile.

Tricks and work arounds are always nice things, but really ... what can be easer as implement reordering of processes? It is just a GUI issue with max 1 hour implementation time.
