Picture Print using S3D on left and UP! on the right.

Just a comment on the support generation, is it possible to set the support structure to change every 50 layers for example to strengthen the support structure on tall parts. You can see the part on the left has a wobble in the support structure, this actually hits the part and leaves marks.
On UP! printers (Afinia) this happens automatically via and change in "phase" but it could be done with a solid layer every now and then.

Can this be done on S3D at the moment?

Thanks
Andy

I have the angles for support set as one line at 45 degrees, one at -45 degrees, then eight at 45 degrees. This gives a support structure with cross-bracing every nine rows....which gives a very steady scaffold that can reach up to quite large heights, and is still easy to break away once printing is complete.

Of course, its possible to create all sorts of design of support structure using this method....and use 45 and -45 as opposed to 0 and 90 as most of my prints are rectangular, and supports at an angle are easier to remove from recesses, etc.
