Simplify3D User Forum

Is anyone successfully printing quality prints on their Printrbot Metal Plus with Simplify3D? My prints are awful. I've printed the same objects on Cura (what printrbot recommends) and they are flawless. The stock settings on Simplify3D Printrbot Metal Plus are pretty terrible. Makes me wonder if they even tested it with the printer... Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

If you attach a photo of what your print looks like, along with the factory file (File menu==> Safe Factory file as....) then it will give someone a chance of seeing what the issues are you are talking about...and hopefully offer some help.

I have not been able to print using the defaults for PrintrBot Plus Metal Single HBP. Cura prints fine. The Z offset seems different in Cura vs Simplify3D, but this is a stored value, so I'm not sure why they would be different. First layer is never successful. Any updates on this?

I was able to get a print to start by increasing the extrusion multiplier to 1.3. Why?

problem solved, replace printrboard with replcape
