First layer not filling but close enough to the bed.

I've been playing with simplify3d for about a week now and I have trouble getting the first ( few) layers right.

Although much nozzle is very close to the bed and I've selected 200% layer width for the first layer I still have gaps between the lines. (Bed adhesion is abnormally strong)

Also the first couple of layers have a hard time bonding together and I always pull some of them off in the picture also some of the outside perimeters.

Any ideas on what I need to change? Nozzle can definitely not go any closer because then it just stops extruding.

When I use cura I have roughly the same settings and it works really nice for those first few layers

Does the rest of the print look like that too? Are the top layers also spaced out like that? For example, if you print a simple cube with 5 perimeter outlines, are there gaps between the perimeters on ALL layers, or is it just on the first 5 or so layers?

Nope, it is only the bottom that has this problem. the rest of the part always looks awesome thats why I keep trying with S3D

If it's only the bottom layer, then I would say it's due to the positioning of your first layer. It seems that your opinion is that the first layer is already positioned perfectly, but that's what the evidence seems to point to...

Carl is right. First layer is controlled by one thing....you bed gap. From the pics you are really close to having it be right. #1 you need to set your layer width back to 100. That wont do anything to help the problem since it also spaces the lines apart more also. Go back to 100 and bring your bed just a touch closer until that first layer looks right
