Combine "Single Outline"-Process on top of another process

With the current version of S3D it is not possible to combine a "Single Outline"-process with another process. The logic behind this is obvious if one look at the horizontal perspective. But adding a "single outline"- process on top of another process vertically, so that only one process is active at a time, should be practically very possible.
The use case that keeps on coming up for me is when I design and print enclosures/boxes where I wan't some design details in the "bottom" and then achieve as smooth surfaces as possible (while maintaining as low print time as possible) on the upper part of the component. In my head I believe combining a "regular"-process with a "single outline"-process would achieve this nicely.
I also immagine that it would not incur any significant programming effort to enable this in S3D.
