first layer print it at an angle? IE tilt the print bed

I have a makerbot replicator mini. I have to adjust the z offset to get it to the right height but the problem is larger than that.

the bed is not and can not be leveled. my bed happens to tilt slightly forward. such that when I print the first layer I have to use my finger to slightly "lift" the bed just a tiny hair when the nozzle is on the front half of the bed and release it when its on the back half (or it will stuff the nozzle)

and keep doing this till the first layer is done. once its got the first layer good I don't have to mess with it anymore.

an idea would be for your software to let me input a differential so for example it knows my print bed is 100x100mm let me set the z offset for the backside and then tell the software OK the front of the bed is 0.xxxmm lower or higher than the back.

so for me maybe .02 mm lower in the front and then it can "adjust" the z axis this amount smooth as the nozzle moves front to back back to front very so slightly raising and lowering the bed as it moves so I get a good seal to the bed for that first layer. for small prints no problem but for large prints its annoying.

having the software handle this would be amazing! after the first layer or 2 it can ignore this and just print like normal. its only those first 2 layers that are critical.

Neat suggestion! Personally, I have a similar printer that has an slightly uneven bed - I've been printing a thicker first layer to help account for the discrepancy. I just go to the Layer tab and set the first layer height to 200% or something like that to get a really thick first layer that can absorb some of the imperfections

I found on my mini the only way to get it to stick is to make sure the filament gets smooshed between the buildtak and nozzle. makes it a bear to remove sometimes but better than it not sticking :-)

I will try the 200% and see what that does! does it munge the finish of the model? one of the things that SO impresses me with simplify is how insanely clean and perfect the models come out.

the problem I have is when I print larger items my close nozzle distance causes a jam/.err 81 since the nozzle gets "stuffed" on the backside of the print bed. annoying.
