How to re-start at a specific layer

My filament jammed while printing. The nozzle did not clog but the filament jammed not allowing filament to enter the extruder.
My question is how to restart from a known or specific layer.
The filament I am using is not cheap U$D 85.00 it is Colorfabb BRONZEFILL.
The print prior to the jam was fine but I do not want to waste about $30 of filament
Any help on how to locate the layer and restart from that layer would be greatly appreciated.
